Peshawar: Dozens of pensioners from various provincial government departments, on Monday held a protest demonstration against delay in implementation of their charter of demands.
The protest was spearheaded by the All Pensioners Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Fida Mohammad Durrani along with dozens of retired employees at Sher Shah Suri Road.
They were holding placards and banner, inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands. They also chanted full-throat slogans against the provincial government for using delaying tactics in enforcement of their charter of demands.
Talking president of association said few month back they had presented various demands to the provincial government but government did nothing to accept these demands.
They warned that if the demands were not fulfilled they would have no other option to organize a hunger-strike camp outside the Chief Minister’s house.
