Street Children Football Team”, Pakistan to visit KP from 15th May


Peshawar: “Street Children Football Team”, Pakistan is scheduled to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Karachi on 15th  – 18th May, 2014. The team members will be treated as special heroes and during their visit, they will play football matches with local school children’s teams and they will also be hosted at the CM House among various other activities.   The purpose of the team’s visit is to highlight the issues related to street children.

They will be treated as state guests and the achievements of the team will help to inspire and motivate local street children to excel as well. Nothing is impossible if one believes in oneself. The theme of the Street Children’s visit is “I am somebody” and slogan is “No child should live on the streets”.

The tour has been organized by Azad Foundation, Child Protection Project, Elementary & Secondary Education Department and Social Welfare Department. BRAINS Institute and Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also be co-sponsor of the visit.
