Peshawar: Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali called on the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak at CM House Peshawar and apprised him of the details about the academic, development and extensions schemes of the University. He told the Chief Minister that the under construction garden campus would be completed soon and all the academic departments would be shifted to the new campus by September this year.
Pervez Khattak while appreciating this progress said that the provincial govt side by side with the primary and secondary education was giving importance to the higher education, research and innovation activities. He assured that the required funds would be provided for completion of the university buildings. MPA and Chairman DDAC Mardan Iftikhar Mashwani who was present on the occasion demanded establishment of Women University in Mardan and apprised the Chief Minister of the feelings of Mardanians in this regard.
Chief Minister said that his govt allocated huge funds for education and training facilities of women folk. He assured sympathetic consideration on the demand of Women University in Mardan. Arshur Rehman, DD AWKU and other concerned authorities were also present on the occasion.
