CM talks to Jalozai Camp IDPs delegation


Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA are the same together and in no way different from each other adding that both are linked by the strong bonds of race, religious, culture, language and many other commonalities. He said that the government and people of province equally shared the grief and joys of their tribal brethren and were ready to render all types of sacrifices for the same.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Khyber Agency camped at Jalozai camp that made a call on meeting on him at CM Secretariat Peshawar and apprised him of the problems faced by the IDPs.

The delegation was led by Iqbal Afridi, candidate of PTI for National Assembly Seat for NA-46 Bara in the last general elections. Provincial Presidents PTI Azam Swati and General Secretary Khalid Masood were also present on the occasion.

On the complainants of the delegation regarding the food ration of the IDPs, the ATM Cards provided to them for financial assistance and the unscheduled and prolong power breakdown in the camp, the Chief Minister issued on the spot directives to Secretary Relief and Director General PDMA, for prompt actions to that effect.

Similarly, he announced to get as many as 45 IDP students admitted in public sector educational institutes and pay their educational fees. He also assured the delegation to redress all other problems and issues of IDPs besides arranging IT courses for their children.

The Chief Minister while deploring the assassination of IDPs leader Mullah Khel by terrorists also announced to get his educated son recruited against a vacant post in PDMA. “The people of FATA are the integral part of our national whole and as such they will not be left alone in their difficult times and rather helped out in all possible manner”, Khattak said.

He called for effective measures to provide relief to the IDPs of FATA camped in various pocket of the province and directed the police to behave with them in a polite and friendly government regarding the resolution of their issues related to the centre. The delegation appreciated the concrete steps of the provincial government for bringing reforms in govt departments and assured their full support for the same.
