Peshawar: Chairman PTI Imran Khan today stated that it had come to his attention that some Ministers in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa are indulging in corruption. Khan has demanded the Chief Minister immediately investigate and take action against these Ministers. Khan reminded that PTI was given an electoral mandate on two main commitments: One, to bring peace to the country, especially Khyber Pukhtunkhwa; and, two, to stamp out corruption.
Khan stated that there can be absolutely no compromise on these two commitments. He pointed out that already the government
has lost Rs 8 billion in just one corruption case involving Swiss accounts (the amount stolen from people of Pakistan plus the cost of pursuing the case) and now will lose another Rs 4 billion in fines as a result of expedient compromises on the same case.
All this money could have gone towards investment in education and betterment of the nation. Khan was adamant that PTI would not tolerate any corruption at any level but would act immediately to punish the guilty.
