LANDIKOTAL: Khyber Khasadar Force officials write to high ups

Peshawar: Khyber Khasadar Force officials have reportedly written an application to Assistant Political Agent Landikotal Tayib Abdullah to take notice of the large number of non locals taking perks and privileges from Torkham and Michni check posts, stating that neither they were officials of Khyber Khasadar Force nor locals to avail benefits.

Tehsildar Torkham also deducts 25% out of the total monthly amount collected to support the Khyber Khasadar Force officials ( subedars and naib subedars ), the KKF officials informed.

The application reportedly says that there are totally 32 JCOs, subedars and naib subedars serving in Landikotal sub-division of Khyber Agency whereas the total number of the JCOs taking huge financial benefits from Torkham and Michni check posts of Landikotal are more than hundred, which the KKF officials termed unfair and injustice.

It has also been mentioned in the application that once before the KKF officials had submitted an application with firmer APA Landikotal and PA Khyber seeking their help to take notice of those who were taking perks from their posts, stating that 102 chits had been approved by the officials concerned with approaches of the high ups.

According to the letter the existing PA Khyber Motahir Zeb had issued strict and categorical written orders to the subordinates to remove the proxy Khassadars and all those KKF post commanders under the rank of Hawaldar, but so far that order has not been implemented despite the fact that MNA from NA45 Shah Jee Gul reportedly time and again raised this issue with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It has been learnt that Tehsildar of Landikotal and Torkham have also shares with those non-locals, but the two tehsildars rejected the allegations as baseless.

The officials have been accused of delaying tactics in this regard to remove all those non-locals’ names and chits from the list of the JCOs because they were not locals.
