108 new enterprises commissioned in Kyrgyzstan in first half of 2019

Some 108 enterprises were commissioned in Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2019, which has created about 1500 jobs, Deputy Minister of Economy Avtandil Alybayev told a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

The largest number of the established enterprises is in Osh Oblast -30, Batken Oblast -23, Naryn Oblast -15, Alybayev said, adding that the lowest number of established enterprises is in Osh city -1 and Talas Oblast -3.

The enterprises cover all areas of the Kyrgyz economy, including a paper factory, a knitting factory and a factory for the manufacture of reinforced concrete products in Chui Oblast; production of ready-mixed concrete, food production and processing in Naryn Oblast; and a poultry farm and a shop for the production of felt products in Issyk-Kul Oblast.

Enterprises for travertine stone processing, paper production, shoe production, cleaning, fruit and vegetable sorting, stone processing, paper production, footwear production and stone processing were launched in Osh Oblast. A mineral processing plant was opened in Batken Oblast, as well as three coal mining and secondary raw material processing plants.

Enterprises for production of cordon and paper, processing and canning of fruits and berries, production of burnt bricks, coal mining and production of building materials were created in Jalal-Abad Oblast. This is in addition to an enterprise for the production of mineral feed in Osh city.
