QUETTA: Balochistan would present all time high Rupees 2.3 trillion budget for 2014-15 in provincial assembly Thursday. It would have development budget of 45 to 50 percent, 25 percent for Education while health and law and order would be acceded preference while more than four thousand new vacancies would be created.
This was stated by Provincial Minister Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal while talking to newsmen after provincial assembly session here Wednesday.
He said government has made best efforts to prepare budget so that people should be provided relief in all fields. He said total volume of the budget 2014-15 would be Rupees 2.3 trillion. He said special emphasis has been paid on law and order, health, agriculture, drinking water and productive fields.
He said like previous year education budget would be nearly 25 percent while 45 to 50 percent would be allocated for development.
He said like federal government, provincial government would also increase 10 percent salaries of government employees in the budget while 4200 new vacancies would be created.
He said province and various districts are confronted with water and electricity crisis. With the assistance of Central Government a comprehensive planning has been made in the budget to overcome this. Flood water would be preserved in the face of dams. He aid funds have also been allocated for construction of Chashma-Zhob transmission line and improvement of infrastructure .Soon work on these projects would start.
