Black Day-Black flag hoisted at Press Club

QUETTA: Journalists observing Black Day against attack on senior journalist Hamid Mir hoisted black flag at the Quetta Press Club Monday. According to details journalists observed Black Day against murder attack on Hamid Mir in Balochistan as elsewhere in the country on the directives of President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists Afzal Butt.

President Balochistan Union of Journalists Irfan Saeed, Vice President PFUJ Saleem Shahid, President Daily newspapers Editors council Anwar Sajidi, President Quetta Press Club Razaur Rehman and others hoisted black flag at the Press Club today.

Strongly condemning murderous attack on senior journalist Hamid Mir they said that this attack is attack on freedom of expression and a dirty conspiracy to suppress the voice for people. Bid on life of Hamid Mir is intolerable and brutal act. Such acts during 21 st Century is infact attack on newly born democracy in Pakistan aimed at to suppress freedom expression. But forces attacking this freedom have been given a very clear message by journalistic community of the country including Balochistan that no power can stop them to support suppressed people and expression of truth.

They demanded of Federal and Sindh Governments to arrest attackers without fail and unveil real causes of the attack.
