Civil society protest

QUETTA: Civil Society Balochistan held a peaceful demonstrator against closure of educational institutions in Mekran particularly Panjgur by anti social and anti education elements in front of Press Club here Monday.

Torture against parents, teachers, students and owners of school children carrying vehicles was strongly condemned. Participants strongly condemned these acts.

Speakers on the occasion while expressing their anger over dirty incidents in Mekran particularly Panjgur said our province has been ignored in all sectors of activity in the past and kept it backward where people have no facility of basic amenities of life and health nor opportunities for acquiring education. Schools and institution for girls education are almost non existent in remote areas. Against this well to do, philanthropists and education friendly people have opened educational institutions for educating their children particularly girls in backward and remote areas of the province, some elements in violation of bright laws of Islam were closing them by committing torture. It is extremely grave and cruel act.

Speakers demanded of influential people of the area and government to fulfill their responsibilities in this regard and take strict action against anti education elements.
