QUETTA: First case under Protection of Pakistan Ordinance has been registered in Quetta.
This was stated by Provincial Home Department here Wednesday.
It said that on March 31, 2014 armed men opened indiscriminate firing on Akbar Bugti Express train near Osay Pur . Two persons were killed and five others sustained injuries. Attackers disappeared in nearby mountains in retaliatory fire of police.
FIR of the incident has been registered under Protection of Pakistan Ordinance (POPO) IV, XV, ATA 302, 324, Explosive Act ¾ 4, 121, 147-2, 148, 149,166, 353, 427 PPC by ASI Pervez Akhtar at Levies Thana Dhadar. Home Department sources said this is first case registered under POPO.
