QUETTA:A delegation of Harnai Bachao Tehreek (HBT) led by Syed Noor Muhammad Shah, Chairman, HBT, called on Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha on Sunday at Governor’s House to discuss the demands of HBT, however, parleys did not yield result.

According to a statement issued by HBT, a delegation of HBT was invited by the Governor Balochistan for negotiations with regard to the demands of HBT, however, parleys held between Governor Balochistan and a delegation of HBT did not yield result.

Talking to PPI in the protest camp of HBT set up outside Quetta Press Club, Syed Noor Muhammad Shah, Chairman, HBT said that HBT organized a long march from Harnai to Quetta for the sole purpose of highlighting the problems being faced by the residents of Harnai.

He added that 21 days had passed ever since HBT had launched protest movement, but the authorities had so far taken no action to redress the grievances of the protesters. He said that office bearers and workers of HBT were ready to render any kind of sacrifices for the rights of the people of district Harnai. Shah said that a protest demonstration outside Governor’s House followed by protest sit-in would be organized on October 11 Monday (today) to divert the attention of high-ups towards the genuine demands of HBT. He said that HBT had set up camps at three different places to collect donations for the earthquake affectees of District Harnai.
