Jam will remain CM for two years more: Shahwani

QUETTA:Liaquat Shahwani, spokesperson for provincial government, has said that Jam Kamal Khan would remain Chief Minister of the province for further two years.

Addressing a press conference at officers club, Quetta here on Sunday, he added that lockdown in the province had been eased after the cases of novel corona virus decreased considerably, adding that World Health Organization (WHO) had appreciated the steps taken by Pakistan for combating COVID-19 pandemic.

He said that students were protesting against irregularities committed during online test conducted for admission in medical colleges and protest of the students was not only in Balochistan rather students were also protesting in other parts of the country.

He remarked that the issue of Pak-Afghan border situation was thoroughly deliberated upon in the meeting held under chairmanship of Chief Secretary Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana, adding some Afghan refugees had reached Kuchlak area of the province who were later repatriated to their country. More stringent surveillance of along Pak-Afghan border had been decided, said Shahwani.
