QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly approved amendment in Chapter XV of Rule 128 of Provincial Assembly Rules of procedure and Conduct of Business 1974. House accorded amendment in Rules 128 on motion moved by provincial Minister for law and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal seeking amendment to constitute house standing committee House accorded appro9val for constitution of 14 committee namely House standing Committee on (1) Planning and Development (2), Committee on Housing & Physical planning, roads, building, (3) Information, Sports, culture, Archive, Museums &Libraries, (4) Social Welfare, Women Development, Zakat, Ushr, Hajj & Auqaf, Minority Affairs & Youth Affairs, (5) Home & tribal Affairs, Prisons, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), (6) Health, Population Welfare, (7) Literacy & non formal education, higher education, President programme CDWA in Quality education, Science &Technology, Information technology, (8) local government, Balochistan Development Authority BDA), Gwadar Development authority (GDA), BCDA, Urban Planning & Development, (9) Public Health Engineering, WASA including Quetta Greater Water Supply Project, (10) irrigation & Energy, Environment, Forests &wildlife, (11) Agriculture& cooperative Society, Livestock, Dairy Development, fisheries and Food, (12) Finance, Excise & Taxation, Board of Revenue & Transport, (13) Industry, Mines & Mineral Development, Labour and manpower, (14) S&GAD, Inter Provincial Coordination, Law &Parliamentary Affairs, Prosecution, Human rights or any other department not mentioned hereinabove.

(2): In Rule 129 (1) ibid, the words “nine members” the words “seven members” shall be substituted:

(4); In Rule 163(2) ibid, the word “nine” the word “seven” shall be substituted:

(5), In Rule 167 (2) ibid, the word “six” the word “five” shall be substituted:

In Rule 168 ibid, the word “six” the word “five” shall be substituted.

The minister said after 18th amendment in the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Article 130(6) provides that the total strength of provincial cabinet shall not exceed fifteen members. With a view to giving representation to Members the above proposed amendments in Provincial Assembly of Balochistan Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Busyness 1974, are necessary to be incorporated.
