QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while declaring education emergency in the province has directed to checking cheating in examination centres and providing all facilities to the girl and boy students at the examination centres.
He was speaking to University and administration officers at hurriedly called meeting following his surprise visit to examination centres of MA here Friday. Provincial Spokesman Jan Buledi was also present on the occasion. Earlier he made surprise visit to examination centre for MA exam at Special School and Railway Colony Girl School. He called Registrar, Controller of Examination of Balochistan University, Secretary Home, Commissioner Quetta Division, Capital City Police Officer and Deputy Commissioner immediately and directed that members of cabinet, members of provincial assembly and provincial secretaries to visit examination centres and take practical measures for checking use of unfair means during examination.
It was decided that section 144 would be imposed around 400 yards of examination centres and students caught using unfair means in the examination action would be taken against them on the spot.
Chief Minister issued orders for immediate arrangements for electricity, furniture, heaters and repairs of windows.
Meeting decided that anyone found involved in irregularity or corrupt practice would be arrested immediately and legal action would be taken against him.
Meeting was told that orders have been issued for improving security at the examination centres and patrolling has also been increased.
Meeting further decided that civil and administration would review arrangements on daily basis and bring examination system.
Chief Minister directed Secretary Education to cooperation with University management.
