Need stressed to impart vocational training to women

QUETTA: Sana Durrani, Chairperson, Balochistan Women Business Association has said that it was the need of time to impart vocational training to women of Balochistan.

These views were expressed by her while talking to media at Women Vocational Centre, Sabzal Road, Quetta here on Wednesday, she said that e-commerce, e-marketing and different other vocational courses were being imparted at Women Vocational Centre set up in collaboration with the governments of Norway, Germany, European Union. She said that skilled women could play a significant role in the progress and development of the country.

She added that women were coming forward in almost every sector of life, adding that the arrangements of such programmes would help provide job opportunities to the women of the province. She remarked that steps were being taken to get interest free loans sanctioned in favour of women of the province enabling them to earn their livelihood. On the occasion, Technical Advisor (IT) PTV, Sunia Umair, Manager Media, SAP (Communication), Muhammad Sagheer were also present.
