Rangers seeks 90-day jail custody of three accused


Karachi: Rangers on Wednesday filed an application in Anti-Terrorism Court-III (ATC-III), seeking 90-day jail custody of three suspects allegedly involved in target killings.

Pakistan Rangers Sindh along with their own counsel produced Saqib, Shakil and Waqas before ATC-III and stated that the suspects were detained during a targeted operation.

Rangers also sought further nvestigation about the case which was accepted by the court.

The recent amendments made to the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, in November 2013 Section II EEEE have authorized the paramilitary force to detain suspects for three months to conduct interrogation.
