Two killed, three injured in Karachi mishaps


Karachi: Two people were killed and five others injured in separate incidents here on Monday. According to police, 25-year-old Gul Shah, son of Mir Kalam, was killed when a speeding car hit him near a petrol pump along Super Highway. The victim was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.

In another incident, a 40-year-old man was killed by a moving train at Bin Qasim Railway track. Police said the man was trying to cross the track but misjudged the speed of moving train and was hit by it. The victim was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.

Separately, a car hit two people near Siemens Chowrangi in SITE area, leaving them injured. The wounded were identified as Adam, 40, son of Ghulam, and Salman, 80, son of Tariq. They were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

Similarly, a 50-year-old Shakir, son of Sabir, sustained wounds after being hit by a speeding car near Golimar Chowrangi. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. The man was a resident of North Karachi.
