Shikarpur: Shikarpur police on Wednesday claimed to have killed two bandits in an encounter on Chodio Sadhayo link road with the jurisdiction of Hamayoon police station.

According to local SSP office, a Shikarpur police team succeeded in killing two dacoits identified as Altaf, son of Imdad Jaffery, and Muhammad Sharif alias Sharifoo, son of Ali Muhammad Jaffery, and recovered a double barrel gun and a SMG gun from their possession during the encounter on Chodio Sadhayo link road. The police shifted their bodies to RHC Sultankot for medico-legal formalities.

The relatives of a killed dacoit took out a rally and held a demonstration at Chak and claimed that the police had killed their beloved in a false encounter. They said that their beloved Altaf Deedo went out to purchase some house items for observing the 9th Muharam-ul-Haram and was openly kidnapped by some persons wearing civil dresses in a private car one day before and today he was killed in false police encounter by showing a wrong information as he was Altaf Jaffery but in real he is our beloved innocent Altaf Ahmed Deedo. They demanded justice from the authorities.
